Once Upon a Time…Mercy and Jacob met on June 19th, 2023, at a Bible study in Longview, Washington. Mercy had only been living in the Northwest for a couple weeks at that point and neither of them had been to this Bible study before. After the Bible study Jacob told his good friends Elena and Jane "I met my future wife tonight", and he was right! Four months and two "friend-zones" later and the two of them were dating. That December, Jacob helped Mercy move across the country back to Iowa and the long-distance chapter of the relationship began. Thanks to the goodness of God and their beautiful love for each other Mercy and Jacob's relationship flourished even while two-thousand miles apart and the two were engaged to be married on July 4th, 2024.
